This website, our terms and conditions and our policies have been designed for use within the UK mainland and to comply with UK law. If you are using this website from outside of the UK, we give no warranty, express or implied, that the use of this website will comply with applicable non-UK laws or regulations.

Prices and taxes

All prices quoted on our website are accurate at the time of publication, are in pounds sterling (£) and include VAT at the current rate. Prices are subject to change without notice. In some circumstances the price confirmed to you when you place your order may be different to that charged to your credit or debit card. However, we will make every effort to ensure that this will not happen.

For orders despatched outside of the UK, customs and/or import duties levied by the destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict them.

Stock availability

We aim to hold stocks of all products for sale through our website. However, a product may occasionally be out of stock even though your order has been confirmed. In such circumstances we will contact you to inform you that the product is out of stock and to advise you of the estimated despatch date. We will despatch your order, excluding the product that is out of stock, in accordance with our normal delivery policy and we will despatch the out of stock product as soon as it arrives in stock. We will not charge you for the second delivery and we will not charge your debit or credit card for any item until it is being despatched, with the exception of furniture orders. Payment for furniture orders will always be taken at the time the order is placed. You have the right to cancel your order for any item that is out of stock or delayed (see below).

Your right to cancel

You may cancel your order for any reason up to the point of despatch. If you do cancel your order before despatch any payments made by you will be refunded to you within 30 days.

Returns policy

Gift orders

We want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy please return it to us, in the original packaging, within 30 days of receipt and we will give you a refund for that item or an exchange, provided the item is unused and in perfect condition.

If an item is faulty, or we have sent you the wrong item, please return it to us and we will give you a refund for the return postage and the related delivery charges as well as the item itself.

To return an item simply complete the returns note that accompanies your delivery note and send it back with the item to the address on the returns note. We strongly advise you obtain proof of posting.

We will process all refunds within 7 working days of receiving the returned item.

Furniture orders

Returns can be made for any reason as long as we are notified within 7 days of delivery. There is a 10% returns charge for items that are not faulty or damaged in transit. All return items must resellable in 'as new' condition, therefore they must be in the original wrappings and unused and unassembled (unless faulty). Returns cannot be accepted for items that are not wrapped securely in their original packaging.

If the item is faulty or damaged in transit we will supply a replacement free of charge. Damage and faults must be notified to us within 30 days of delivery. Upon delivery, please note any damage to the packaging on the delivery note before signing for delivery.

Delivery

Gift orders

We aim to despatch all orders within 3 working days of receiving your order and you should receive it within 7 working days of placing your order. But please allow 10 working days for standard UK delivery. If, for any reason, we are unable to despatch within 3 working days we will notify you and give you an estimated despatch date. You may cancel your order for any reason up to the point of despatch (see above).

Our delivery charges are:

Standard UK delivery (Monday to Friday) £4.00 for orders under £40
 

Free for orders over £40
Express 2 day delivery (Monday to Friday) £8.00 for all orders

 

Express delivery is a guaranteed 2 day delivery service. Any orders received by 3pm will be despatched within 24 hours and delivered the day after despatch. Express 2 day delivery is only available for deliveries within mainland UK.

Delivery and postage costs for orders from outside of mainland UK will be charged at cost. These costs will usually exceed those notified to you in your order confirmation. We reserve the right to charge you for these additional postage and delivery costs when charging your credit or debit card, but we will always try to contact you beforehand to advise you.

Furniture orders

For Old Oakland furniture please allow up to 8 weeks for delivery. We will notify you of any delivery charges when you place your order. Delivery includes installation into the required place in your home and the removal of all packaging.

For other furniture, please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery. If the delivery is expected to take longer than 4 weeks we will notify you and give an estimate of the delivery date. You may cancel your order at any point until a delivery date is confirmed. Delivery is free for all orders in mainland UK. Deliveries will be made by one man to the door only.

Conformity of goods

We take every care to ensure that the descriptions and specifications of our products are correct. However while the colours and patterns of the products are a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by your browser software or computer system.

All of our products are handmade by crafts people and so each piece is unique. As a result there may be slight variations in colour, size and patterns.

Orders from outside of mainland UK

We will try to fulfil orders from outside of mainland UK wherever possible, but we reserve the right to not accept orders from outside of mainland UK. Delivery and postage costs for orders from outside of mainland UK will usually exceed those notified to you in your order confirmation. We reserve the right to charge you for these additional postage and delivery costs when charging your credit or debit card, but we will always try to contact you beforehand to advise you.

For orders despatched within the EU the price of goods will include VAT at the current rate. For orders despatched outside of the EU, the price of goods will exclude VAT. If you are placing an order from outside of the EU, please contact us for prices excluding VAT before placing your order.
